We need more help to sign up. 

Fire Department Budget changes:

  • HR would still like to give a paid performance increase, but they still need to be cautious on still providing for retirement and insurance. Our insurance will more than likely increase. 

  •  The city gave every department their opportunity to use it how they need to. Ben asked about raises and Chief said he hopes to make it a good raise, but it is still undetermined. 

Special projects that Chief wants to do

  • New secretary for 70 and also cleaning the administrative floor.

Brian Holbrook Firefighter Memorial in Sept 

  • We still have places for people to stay. Reach out to Russell Farnsworth

  • The Honor Guard is going down and if you want to go, reach out to Neal.

  • We are looking for ideas to help his family get to Colorado 

    • Fundraiser ideas or donations to help

Membership dues and how to get them healthier

  • Union account is struggling

Proposal to reduce association and increase union dues 

$17 for association and $33 for Union

Send out the idea for an increase in just the Union dues

Also 1.5% of what the lowest paid firefighter to have it the same. 

By laws updating and how to go about it.

  • Presented of a change of the monthly stipend for the President and Sec/Treasurer

  • Change for $50 to $100 a month.

  • Change the TV route. Suggestion to get rid of cable and have streaming.

Candy Machines and what to do with them.

  • Get rid of them after 24 hours if no one says anything.

House bill about changing retirement

  • It did not pass because of too big of an ask. We need to carve out just the fire department

  • Working on more cancer bills  

  • HB241 The city will not collect dues and union meetings can not be held on city owned grounds. (Did not pass)

Opening up for discussion:

Nate Thompson

  • Truck 120 is aging and the station itself we need to possible consolidate apparatus

  •  Looking at the possible ideas to get rid of the engine and buy a new truck and have just a truck at 120.

  • Rigs are getting more expensive and the admin is looking at options. 

  • CCP testing went well 

  • Heavy rescue is amazing

  • Please take advantage of the Mental health grant through the department
